Hopper is up to date on his vaccines and is maintained on Heartworm and Flea preventative. Hopper is Deaf and has some vision limitations. Hopper navigates his environment very well but he seems to have trouble seeing far away. Bright sunlight seems to bother Hopper’s eyes and he favors the shade. Hopper is a very sweet and playful pup and is very active as with any Aussie pup his age. He is eagerly learning a few basic signs such as sit ,come, good boy, and no.

Hopper seems very alert and quick to learn. Hopper loves attention and loves to be with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves to be with his foster mom and dad. He enjoys lots of love and hugs. Hopper walks well on the leash and is working on housebreaking. Hopper enjoys a few walks a day and enjoys playing in his secure yd. and baby pool. Hopper is doing well sleeping nights in his ex-pen. Hopper enjoys all toys especially balls. He is exposed to cats but really shows no interest in them. Hopper shows respect to the other dogs in his foster home. Hopper will only be adopted to an approved home who can meet his needs and keep Hopper safe. Hopper can never be off leash in a unsecured area. Hopper would do best in a home with older children.

For information on adopting Hopper, please contact Amanda Walrad at aswalrad@gmail.com.
Cowboy came to us in horrible condition, his coat matted and filthy, along with an untreated urinary infection, plus a case of heartworms. Cowboy is currently undergoing treatment for his heartworms and won’t be ready for a home till the end of July. Since starting his vet care Cowboy has transformed from a sick grouchy dog to a happy reborn dog, he is friendly, loving and enjoys other dogs and people.

Cowboy does need a home that will give him the exercise he needs, at nine he does not act like an old dog and one that understands Aussies. Cowboy is housebroken and responds to commands well, he does not like to be grabbed around the neck and will require a home with a gentle touch. Cowboy is located in Loganville GA and if you are interested in him please contact Tracy Daniel at tracyallyn.daniel@gmail.com

Fred will not be ready for a home till some time in July. Fred is medium sized male with a zest for life, he can be pushy with other males dogs at times but loves the ladies. Fred is well mannered in the house but does not like to be confined to a crate.

Fred came to us from a shelter and had never been exposed to much in his previous life, his first car ride was a frightening experience for him, since coming into foster care he has learned new things and loves to ride. Fred loves people and enjoys being with them and getting lots of attention. He is a stunning dog, his coat is thick and full and he enjoys brushing. He does have a previous eye injury that does not impair his vision. Fred will require a home with Aussie experience and one that will help Fred to overcome some of his previous fears. Since he has not been exposed to small children we recommend a home wtih other dog savvy children for him. Fred is located in Savannah GA and if you would like to get more information on Fred please contact Tracy Daniel at tracyallyn.daniel@gmail.com

Max is a red merle Australian Shepherd with a natural bobtail. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and has completed heartworm treatment and is ready for his new home! He is a bigger boy at 60 pounds, and he is one handsome boy, sadly he did pay a price for his beauty, all that white on his coat cost him some of his eye sight and hearing. Max came to us after his owner moved away and could not take him with her.

Max is a 2 year old Aussie that was surrendered by his owner because they could no longer care for him. He is deaf and visually impaired though can see some shadows on his left side. He is totally blind in his right eye. He is what is referred to as a “lethal white”. Puppies born to two merle colored parents will result in 25% of the litter having hearing and/or sight deficiencies. Many of these animals have been rescue and go on to make wonderful pets. They are trained in sign and touch signals. If you would like to learn more about owning a special needs dog please visit www.deafdogs.org for more information.

Max will need a fenced in yard and someone that is willing to devote time to train him. He has learned a few touch signals like sit and down. Max is a fast learner and will need a special, loving home that is willing to provide the extra care he needs. Max is gentle and loving, he enjoys lots of attention, and loves to run and play, he has lots of energy and would love an active home of his own. He is crate trained. Max is one happy guy and just likes to have some fun. He is fine with other dogs also and enjoys playing with them. Max is fine with everyone he meets and like many special needs Aussies Max has no clue that he is considered special needs! He is an easy going and loving dog that has a lot to offer any family.

Max is located in the Statesboro GA area and if you are interested in adoption, please email Tracy Daniel at tracyallyn.daniel@gmail.com
