Before contacting us in regards to a dog, please complete an adoption application Adoption Application.

Baloo is an eight year old blue merle female with a tail and pretty blue eyes. She is spayed, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention.  Baloo is a vicitm of the housing crisis, her former owner lost his home and had to turn Baloo over to the shelter, he even came back twice to try to get her back out only to have to turn her in again when he could not find a home for her.

Baloo has had a great time since entering foster care, she loves to run and play and appears much younger than her eight years. She enjoys chasing the other dog in her foster home around and is helping to get her in shape. She loves to snuggle and is great with kids also.  Since coming into foster care this girl has just blossomed. She prides herself on being a personal trainer for the other dog in her foster home. She loves to run and play and helped her foster sister take off those last few pounds she was having trouble shedding.

Baloo has not seen a squirrel she does not want to meet, and even enjoys chasing birds in the air, she is a very young eight years old, she does need a fenced yard to run and play in she really enjoys the outdoors. She is working on leash walking but does like to pull a bit on lead.    While she has a lot of spunk when outside, she settles down nicely in the house and has great house manners including being housebroken.

This girl will be a great addition to any family, but we would like for her to have  a home with another dog to keep her company.

If you would like to sponsor Baloo while in foster care please make a donation with her number 10711 at www.aussierescue.com.

She is fostered in the Savannah area, please contact Kim Johnson with any questions at savaussies@comcast.net.

GA ARPH Events, Past and Present

Many of our current and former foster dogs had a blast at Aussie Palooza 2008 at the beautiful home of Tommy and Barb Johnson.

2006 proved our first GA specific Aussie celebration event at AussiePalooza in Macon, GA

Earlier in 2006, the Southeast ARPH network enjoyed a wonderful event in Jacksonville, FL. We celebrated dogs and volunteers from FL, GA and NC.

ARPH-GA participated in the Kennesaw, GA Christmas parade, bringing 24 current and former ARPH dogs. Several hundred people passed our booth and were impressed with our dogs.

Even being next to the pony rides, freight trains, food tents and lots of little kids, all of our Aussies performed admirably. Thanks to all of our foster families, past and future adopters, volunteers and reps for helping get some great exposure for the dogs.
