Kirby was a beautiful little puppy that found his way to some very caring individuals who could not keep him, but contacted Aussie Rescue to assure he would be safe.

Sadly, on 3/30 Kirby passed away under anesthesia during his neuter procedure.  Despite all of the efforts of the veterinary staff, little Kirby could not be revived.  We send him on with the loss of such a wonderful puppy in our hearts.  Rest peacefully little Kirby. Our thoughts are with his foster home during this time of loss and his new Dad who will never be have the chance to know how wonderful Kirby was.

We wanted to post her here so that somewhere there will be a record of her life and the loss of it – we gave her a name to remember her by.  This little girl was so close to rescue – and passed from this earth for no other reason than because no one wanted her.

Please consider a shelter dog…they are so many out there needing you. 

Rest peacefully sweet girl. You are remembered.

Maggie was a young girl who was gone too soon, after surviving being hit by a car as a puppy Maggie passed away from cancer at only 18 months old She will be dearly missed by her family

River was an amazing dog that had a can do attitude, lots of excitement was packed into his little body. He did it all herding, dancing and becoming a READ Dog. His family and all of us who knew him will miss him.

Sweet Ariel was an Angel Aussie who was picked up as a stray in Cleveland, TN.  Her future looked bright as the stars when she entered rescue, but soon after became very ill with Parvo virus.  Her former owners could have saved her life if they’d just provided a few rounds of vaccinations when she was younger.  It’s a small price to pay to give your puppy the future they deserve.

Little Ariel lost her battle with Parvo on 6/5.  We extend our deepest sympathies to her foster parents who loved and cherished Ariel in her final days.

Dontae was and will always be my best buddy. We adopted Dontae from ARPH in January 2004. Although he would play tug of war and chase every now and then he was the “old man” and the “fun police” at our house. If the other dogs got playing too much he would start barking and try to stop them. Not long ago we found two baby kittens, their mother had died. Dontae became their mother. He would clean them and let them sleep with him. We can tell the babies are searching and wanting Dontae’s love and companionship; so are we!

Taz is pictured here with her good friend Scout who made his trip to the Rainbow Bridge a few years ago.   Taz was loved and cherished by Bill and Nicole Parks and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Darby was the pretty black tri in the picture here with her brother, she was adopted in 2004 and enjoying being the Queen of her home, sadly she passed away from cancer and will be missed by her family.

Jack also played a “victim” along with his owner Rachael Eley for Alpha Team Search and Rescue members in training (http://www.atsar.org/services.htm).  We have donated to ATSAR in his honor so that other wonderful dogs can achieve their potential in helping to save lives. Jack is a testament to the wonderful things a rescue dog can accomplish.  

Jack, you will be missed every day.  You were the best dog in the world.
