Foster Homes
Foster Homes are the backbone of rescue work and are in great demand. They care for rescue dogs in their own homes. They are often called upon to ensure regular veterinary care, engage in basic training and socializing of the dogs and speak to potential adopters. They work hand in hand with the representatives, as they are the ones who know the dogs best. Their evaluation of the dog’s personality and temperament helps the rep place the dog in the most appropriate home.
Experience with basic training is useful but not required. Routine veterinary expenses are reimbursed or handled by GA Aussie Rescue representatives; foster homes supply food and love.
